Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) is currently a highly trending topic for both the researcher as well as the public consumer. We propose to describe an investigation of the vehicle ad hoc networks (VANET) area of ITS. Our focus is on safety methods that might significantly reduce light vehicle collisions, with a vision/mission to save lives and reduce property losses. This session will speak to how USPTO 7,113,098 can be used to enhance highway and roadway safety in the US. We will be prepared to discuss how this technology can possibly assist with vehicle to infrastructure, two-way communications for critical safety applications. We will demonstrate how some of the diagrams of patent 7,113,098 can be overlaid with grids for model and simulation.
